At about 11pm last night, I got a text message-- "Still at work. Would love to fall asleep in your arms. You up for it?" Poor boy worked 15 hours yesterday. Of course it was okay. Look at how selfless I am. But a nice surprise, nonetheless.

My hair is strangely curly lately. It's all goldish and getting really long. This morning, I woke up and stretched, and he muttered, "Bam, that's a romance novel cover right there." I promptly lost my composure.

In the car on the way to work, one of the morning radio shows were discussing butt men vs. breast men. I asked what he considered himself to be. He said he's a smile man. He also said that I have a particular smile he likes. "It's like this look of utter joy. It's like the Care Bear Stare. It vanquishes all evil."

... I love this guy.

Dear world,

I CAN HAS COFFEE!

I'm gonna be flittering around this office today like a fairy straight outta Fern Gully. WHEE. My good mood, let me show you it.

Except. Except I caught up with this week's BSG and it made me cry. "Faith" was easily the best episode so far this season. But then I watched the guilty pleasure show, and, uh... do me now, Rufus Humphrey. Ahem. I am shamed.

Michael (my boss): Did you do anything to your hair recently?
Me: No. Why?
Michael: Do you ever watch The Office?
Me: No, but I'm about to start watching. A friend is gonna lend me her boxsets.
Michael: Oh. You know, you kinda look just like Pam. She's the secretary.
Me: Isn't she the one carrying on the affair with her coworker?
Michael: Yep. That's the one.

In her office, Sara was dying.

DuWop Duet Eyeshadow in Delilah-- I have been looking for a) the perfect pinky-peachy-gold shade and b) the perfect medium spring green shade forever. All of the pinky ones have been too sheer (though wearable, like MAC's Gleam or Urban Decay's X), and all the green ones too dark (making me look sallow) or too light (frosty pastel! Ick!). And hey! I found both in one convenient little duo. The quality of the shadow is pretty good- not chalky, but nice and smooth with a good color payoff. And considering the price of most high-end eyeshadow duos/trios, this is nicely priced. These colors are definitely daytime-wearable, and are a great way to brighten up a mostly-neutral palette for Spring, if you want a change, but nothing too drastic, especially for redheads or chicks with pink skin undertones.

Stila Summer Eye Shadow Palette-- A palette of light, shimmery shades that will probably look ideal on fairer-toned skin and chicks who prefer a less made-up look. With a quick swipe of eyeliner, this will give a very classic, possibly even retro, eye. To be honest, many of the colors are very similar, especially Kitten and Sun, but they are all colors that look great on me for daytime wear and can be paired with nighttime colors for lots of shimmer. As usual, the texture is buttery-soft. Ray is a great golden crease color. I doubt I'll get any mileage out of the blue, as it's too cool-toned for me, but overall this is a palette that will see a lot of use. Great mirror, too.

Tarte Brush With Greatness-- WHY DID I NOT BUY THIS BRUSH SOONER? IT IS AWESOME.

CARGO SuedeBlush in Sunshine Coast-- This went on a lot more lightly than I expected. Of course, it says "ultra sheer" in the product description, so I can't really fault the product. On my skin, this acts more like a luminizer than a blush, diffusing softly over my cheekbones. It's very blendable, and you get a lot of beautifully-packaged product. The main color that comes through is the neutral pink. I'd like to try some of the other shades (or the beach bronze/blushers) out at a shop, but many of those intrigued me as well. Not what I was expecting, but a useful product nonetheless.

CARGO Liquid Shadow Collection-- If you're the type of chick who gets her makeup done in 5 minutes flat, this is the product for you. These are the best cream shadows I've ever tried. They blend so easily, and you don't need a lot of product to get good color payoff. The only pity is that they don't seem to be available in full-size. I'd buy the neutral pink one in a heartbeat.

Still looking for: the perfect lipgloss. Light peachy-rose-- long-wearing, but not sticky. I'm thinking maybe NARS in Orgasm, but I want to test it first to make sure it's not too pastel on me.
