but colleague,
when I spend the morning rescheduling appointments you accepted at the same time, I ask YOU to do the same for another date you screwed up, don't come to me for sympathy that you can't study during work time.
Do it right the first time.
Oh and thanks for screwing up what I asked twice before I took it back from you. You obviously can't be bothered today.

I second dallista's reverence to the physic octopus. I hope they don't 'accidently' drain his tank.;-)
I'm loving that the Dutch nation, for once is bummed out Germany lost.
All cuz they want revenge for 1974 (ànd 1978).
I'm amused because I seriously doubt the collective memory would be as vivid if it had been a disaster, but getting beaten at football...*shakes fist*;-P
But hats off to the Germans for their nice game!
Spain will be tough, but we have a chance.

but by me! Just for your amusement the Dutch commercials that make me giggle lately.
For all the kids who remember the sweaty backseat holidays in France
( Daddy CoolCollapse )
Contrary to the commercial's intention I'd buy off this guy every time!
( Can I have my wedding ring back now?Collapse )
And a commercial I haven't seem since babe-gate, two girls facing 6 months jail for wearing a dress without a even brandname...
( For current intrest plus nice historic Dutch goalsCollapse )

Doctor Who Live Hits UK Arenas from October
Date: 17 May 2010A new stage show based on the BBC’s Doctor Who series will tour arenas nationwide later this year, opening at Wembley Arena from 8 to 10 October 2010.
According to publicity material, Doctor Who Live will comprise "a spectacular audio/visual experience featuring live music, special effects and appearances from the show’s most popular monsters".
Developed in association with Doctor Who executive producer Steven Moffat, the show will open in wartime London and feature Daleks, Cybermen, Weeping Angels, Judoon and Oods, as well as specially filmed video scenes.
Moffat said: "This is everything I ever wanted since I was eleven. A live show, with all the coolest Doctor Who monsters, a proper story, and brand new screen material for Matt Smith's Doctor. I'll be writing scenes for it, and probably attending every single night."
The press release explains: "Doctor Who Live will feature special FX, optical illusions and spectacular pyrotechnics building to an epic finale. Specially edited video clips, drawn from the TV programme will be shown on a massive screen and accompanied by the music of longtime Doctor Who composer Murray Gold. These iconic scores will be brought to life by a 16 piece orchestra live on stage."
After Wembley, the tour, which is produced by BBC Worldwide, will visit Sheffield (12 & 13 October), Glasgow (14-17 October), Birmingham 18-20 October), Manchester (22-24 October), Nottingham (25 & 26 October), Cardiff (28-31 October), Liverpool (2 & 3 October) and Belfast (6 & 7 November).

I just heard from my mum that a friend of my parents has died.
Only a little while ago she was planning a get together with his wife ( her friend from school ) and now the mourning card came.
He had heart problem but lately it all seemed to fine.
I can't concentrate now. He was 'one of the grown-ups', someone who as a kid I trusted completely because he was 'just like my dad'. Someone who was just there during my childhood, because there was no time where I did not know him.
And apart from the sadness I feel for him and the people who will miss him so dearly it also reminds me just a tad too vividly of my own parent's mortality.

Or maybe it's just me getting a giggle out of the paper waste baskets at the Dutch train stations.
