The Skeptic’s Kaddish W3 Prompt # 173 is given to us by the Poet of the Week, A.J. Wilson. She asks us to write an ekphrastic poem—a poem inspired by a work of art. Ange has selected two masterpieces to spark our creativity. I chose Georgia O'Keeffe's Abstraction Blue. As we craft our pieces, we are required to incorporate the word “blue.”

Aberdeen, Scotland

Who knew, that on our visit the tall ships would be there!
Aberdeen, Scotland is known as the Granite City. Some say, it is a bleak, grey place. But, on a sunny day the buildings twinkle a silvery gleam, and one can't help but feel their step much lighter. On a typical day, the North Sea is often in a foggy haze, setting a mood of somber reflection.

W3 Prompt #155: Poet of the Week, Ooko Tonny, asks us to write a poem that gives voice to what is usually left unsaid — a buried truth, a silenced voice, a hidden struggle, or the quiet ache of the heart. Let your words speak for what the world tends to overlook: an internal conflict, a marginalized experience, a truth tucked between breaths.

craxis: the unease of how quickly things can change
