I went to the E.R. the other night. Apparently I have something called 'Viral Syndrome.' Which- honestly? Wouldn't sound that bad to me if I wasn't coughing my throat sore. They stole some blood and ran a bunch of tests. Then pumped me full of fluids and painkillers via I.V. They released me at about 2 yesterday morning and gave me vicodin for the pain and something I can't pronounce for my stomach. Which- apparently will make said body part hurt if I don't take it with food. Go figure.

Well- at least I got painkillers.
But anyways, I'm forbade from doing anything but sit at home until Monday. So if I can stay awake for longer then 30 minutes I think I'm gonna tackle some of the bigger projects I've had lurking about my computer.

Heath Ledger died today.

I don't even know what to think.

Went to see Armor for Sleep and a few other bands at The Door last night.
My neck is dead.

But we met this super amazing girl who, i dunno, felt like she had to play mother to us in the mosh pit. (probably because my friend has a bum knee) But she grabbed this girl by the hair and punched her in the face. It was probably the most amazing thing I've seen in weeks.

Armor for Sleep is coming back to Dallas sometime super soon, if I go then i'll have seen them 3 times in the past 6 months. I have amazing pictures from last night. I'll upload them if I get the chance.

My best friend's dad got to meet Peter.

Apparently Pete got hungry for a cheeseburger at the DFW airport and my friend's dad happens to be the manager at the T.G.I. Fridays there. I was suprised (and impressed) that he recognized him. He got a picture of him with Ashlee that I'm still waiting for my friend to send me.
I'll put it up here when I get it.
I was out shopping with her when she got the picture sent to her cell phone.
Apparently her dad didn't think enough to give him something to sign or at least stall him until we could drive up to the airport.

I couldn't figure out why they were in Texas until I realized, Ashlee's parents live here don't they? And he spent time with her family.

They're so fucking cute together.
I hate it.

There needed to be handcuffs though...I was praying for handcuffs.
But...he was all sweaty and nasty.
Which made everything better.

It's December.
It's 74 degrees outside.
The weather's gone crazy.

There, I did it.
I just added the newest chapter of No Fact or Fiction to the mod queue.
And I kind of hate it.

But...I feel better.
Maybe.

I've written the next chapter of No Fact or Fiction. It's about 2400 words, and I think it absolutely sucks.

So give me a few days to edit, and maybe it'll be posted before Sunday.
I feel like a bitch for not writing anything sooner.

Somehow I've made it to chapter 19 of The Scarlet Letter without killing myself.
Not that it's horribly bad, it's just so much of it in one sitting is a bit...ickish...is the only work I can think of.

But I can't help wondering. What if Dimmesdale never was the father? What if he was protecting that man and Hester? Wouldn't that be horrible, if he was in love with Hester but only got to show it by hiding her love for another? I'm not sure which would be worse. It reminds me a bit of the whole James vs. Snape thing. How they both loved Lily but Snape could only show it by protecting the child of Lily and James?

A bit tragic.
Almost Shakespearean, really.

Alas, I still have five more chapters to wade through.

Daylight savings time is screwing with me.
That and whatever illness I've managed to catch this time.
Missed 6 days of school already.
Going to the doctor again tomorrow.
(and not the time travelling one with the nice screwdriver)
