About TUC:
The Technical University of Crete (TUC) is a state university under the supervision of the Greek Ministry of Education and was founded in 1977 in Chania, Crete. The Technical University of Crete is particularly active in conducting basic and applied research. The research and development projects, managed by the Research Committee, are funded by the European Union, the General Secretariat for Research and Technology, the Ministry of Education, the Region of Crete, local administration organizations and many private businesses. A large number of TUC undergraduate and postgraduate students are employed in these projects; in this way, they benefit from the best possible training and they familiarize with conducting research.
It is entirely funded by external research and development grants and contracts in telecommunications and allied areas: telecommunication systems/networks and network services, networking hardware, sensors, RF, and high-performance computing systems, machine learning, information systems, big data analytics, signal processing for telecommunications, speech, language and image processing, and biomedical applications. Funding mainly comes from the European Commission, international industry, National Funding Agencies, and DARPA. TUC has had significant experience in FP6, FP7 and H2020 projects, including FET, acting on many occasions as coordinator. It has also adopted a strategy of promoting the commercial exploitation of R&D results, by providing services (e.g. consulting) and contracting with industrial partners for specific products.
Role in the project:
In SecOPERA, TUC is the Project Coordinator. Moreover, TUC leads technical developments regarding network layer primitives and supports the delivery of the project’s services, piloting, and outreach activities.

Role in the project:
In SecOPERA, AEGIS is the leader of the WP2 – Project Dissemination and Outreach Activities where is coordinating the partners in designing a dissemination and communication strategy. AEGIS acts as the Dissemination and Communication leader which consists in planning and conducting the communication and dissemination activities for the project’s specific timetable, as well as preparing the D&C material to be utilized in the project.
AEGISleads also the technical requirements elicitation and Supports the delivery of the project’s services and piloting activities.

Industrial Systems Institute (I.S.I.)
About ISI:
The Industrial Systems Institute (I.S.I.) is a public research institute founded in Patras, Western Greece on 1998. Since 2003, I.S.I. is part of the Research and Innovation Centre in Information, Communication, and Knowledge Technologies “Athena” (RC Athena), operating under the auspices of the General Secretariat of Research and Innovation(G.S.R.I) of the Greek Ministry of Economic Growth. Its scope includes the active participation and substantial contribution to high-technology sectors, which relate to integrated industrial systems, with the objective of increasing the competitiveness of the Greek industry, through application of state-of-the-art technologies. Among the general aims of ISI are implementation of applied and technological research, development of methodologies, products and services, relevant to scientific and technological sectors of particular interest, such as Security/Cybresecurity for information and communication systems as well as industrial systems, modelling and automation of industrial systems, contemporary methods and production technologies, management / design of production systems, electronic systems, intelligent microsystems, machine vision, and information technology for production processes.
Role in the project:
ISI is the Scientific and Technology Manager of the SecOPERA project and is coordinating the SecOPERA scientific adn Technical work. Furthermore, ISI is leading Tasks that are relevant to the key enabling technologies of Device layer of the project and offers tools for detecting vulenrabilities at the hardware level (including Side channel attacks/implementation attacks) as well as solutions for security hardening using cryptography and hardware design

About UCY:
The University of Cyprus (UCY) is a public research university located in Nicosia, the capital city of Cyprus. It was established in 1989 and is the oldest and largest institution of higher education in Cyprus. The university is committed to research excellence and has a number of research centers and institutes, as well as collaborations with international research organizations. Its research areas cover a wide range of disciplines, including energy, environment, health, and social sciences.
Role in the project:
UCY’s role in SecOPERA is to provide technological expertise, leading the threat model design phase, the cognitive layer primitives, the sustainability plan design and the cross-layer decomposition activities. Furthermore, UCY will assist in the dissemination of the project’s objectives and outcomes to academia through scientific publications and organized workshops.

SLC specializes in Cyber Security Risk Assessment and Management, Cyber Threat Management, Secure Software Systems Lifecycle, and Privacy-by-Design. SLC’s expertise stems from active participation in the scientific security community and from their volunteer work in standardization organisations (i.e. BSI) and security interest groups (i.e. ISACA, ENISA, IEEE).
Role in the project:
In the context of SecOPERA, SLC leads the task related to Quality Assurance, Risk and IPR Management. It activelly participates at almost all technical tasks of the project, focusing mostly on the creation of a set of primitives for the Network and Cognitive Layers, as well as the proper design and implementation, and realization of the SecOPERA services.

About AUEB:
The Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) is Greece’s premier business school, combining top quality research with strong industry links. In SecOPERA, AUEB participates through the Business Analytics Laboratory (BALab) at the Department of Managemenet Science and Technology. The BALab has a very strong track record in Software Engineering, Data Analytics, Security, and Applied Machine Learning, as well as long experience and participation in European research projects.
Role in the project:
AUEB will leverage the experience of the project members in Software Engineering, Security, and Applied Machine Learning to provide both research and development expertise in the project. In particular, AUEB will contribute to the elicitation of user and architecture requirements of the SecOPERA framework, the design and implementation of the framework, and the deployment of the SecOPERA framework services.

In the context of SecOPERA, CEA-List intends to extend its software analysis tool Frama-C (https://frama-c.com) to ensure that it fits the requirements of the pilot studies of the project and can interoperate seamlessly inside the platform developed within SecOPERA. This will build upon previous integrations done inside the DECODER project (https://www.decoder-project.eu), and pursued during the internal INCA project (https://list.cea.fr/en/page/facilitating-the-design-of-complex-systems/).

Our clients cover adiversity of industrial segments, be it automotive, digital farming, automatization (p. ex. steel plants, paper works, building industry).
Role in the project:
VoXel is part of the first pilot and will – together with Pierer Innovation – model secure cooperation in hardware and software development for automotive solutions

In the context of SecOPERA, ITML oversees the integration and validation of all the components, services and innovations developed withing the project into the final SecOPERA framework, while ensuring its compliance with contemporary security standards and policies.

About GREEN:
Greencityzen provides data-driven solution for water network operation.
Role in the project:
In the context of the Secopera project, Greencityzen develops and deploys on the field a new IoT technology that will be experimentally tested, audited by the Secopera toolbox.

Sphynx Technology Solutions
STS
About STS:
Sphynx Technology Solutions AG (STS) offers products and solutions, and consulting services in the areas of cyber intelligence, analytics, incident response, assurance, and certification. It also provides customized and continuous security and privacy assessment solutions, covering the full range of socio-technical aspects of a modern enterprise, for internal risk management and/or external security audit and certification. STS’s solutions are based on its own novel security assurance and certification platform and its advanced analytics and cyber intelligence.
In addition to its consulting services, STS has expertise in providing customized solutions depending on client needs as well as more general training on analytics, security assessment and certification, and cyber intelligence.
Role in the project:
In the context of the SecOPERA project, STS will lead the task related to standardization activities, as well as the task related to the Security/Vulnerability Assessment and Assurance component. STS will provide and customize the SPHYNX SPA (Security and Privacy Assurance Platform) suite for the purposes of the project, which will form the core of the SECOPERA Security and Audit Testing engine.
