SecEditCtl.BOC 3.1

SecEditCtl.BOC is a secure input component developed by CFCA (China Financial Certification Authority) to protect the entry of sensitive data—such as login passwords and transaction credentials—on participating banks’ online services. The BOC build is commonly used by Bank of China and provides a hardened input field that encrypts user data on the client side to reduce the risk of keylogging, screen scraping, and tampering. It is typically installed when you first access the bank’s online banking pages and activates wherever protected input is required.

Key capabilities:

• Protected keyboard input with anti-keylogging and anti-screen-capture defenses
• Client-side encryption of entered data before transmission
• Optional on-screen (virtual) keyboard to minimize hardware keystroke exposure
• Restrictions on clipboard operations to prevent data leakage
• Integrity and environment checks to detect common injection or hooking risks

Compatibility:

• Primarily intended for Windows desktop environments and historically deployed as a browser plug-in/control (for example, with Internet Explorer). Availability for other browsers or platforms may vary by bank and version.
