RV COAD Workgroups

Over 50 organizations responded to the Almeda and South Obenchain Fires in 2020. Now, leveraging lessons learned from response and recovery efforts, our workgroups are developing frameworks to define roles and coordinate response efforts for nonprofits, churches, and volunteers during disasters in Jackson and Josephine Counties. These efforts will be integrated into a multi-jurisdictional Disaster Activation Plan, strengthening community preparedness and response

Develops activation plans, conducts training, and ensures readiness for effective disaster response and recovery

Coordinates mass care disaster response activities, including sheltering, feeding, and pet/animal care

Addresses physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being and vulnerable and at-risk populations, ensuring equitable access to services and resources

Manages the procurement, distribution, and tracking of donations and resources to meet community needs effectively
