RSB Programmes
From investors to industry innovators, NGOs to government agencies, organisations of all sizes and sectors are increasingly looking to the bio-based and circular economy for solutions to today’s challenges.
RSB’s programmes are the innovation centre of our organisation, where we create and share sustainability knowledge, tools, stakeholder action and unique approaches to drive the sustainable decarbonisation of hard-to-abate sectors globally.
We do this by working with corporations, innovation and climate funds, and institutional partners to design, pilot and implement sustainability solutions across the value chain that are founded on RSB’s trusted sustainability framework.
RSB Book & Claim Programme
Book and claim is a chain-of-custody solution that allows the sustainability attributes of a certified product to be decoupled from the physical supply chain and be transferred via dedicated registry. This solution can seriously accelerate the decarbonisation journey of hard-to-abate sectors, such as aviation and shipping, as it helps overcome the barriers of supply, demand and cost.
The RSB Book & Claim Programme has been created to monitor and manage this complex, but necessary, approach in a way that is credible, robust and prioritises climate impact. It includes the RSB Book & Claim Manual, RSB Registry and Registry Recognition Framework, and Book & Claim Pilot Partnerships.
RSB Academy Programme
In a rapidly evolving field, there is a critical need for continuous learning and skills development to drive the sustainable transition to a bio-based and circular economy.
The RSB Academy meets this need.
As a strategic approach to capacity building for the sustainable bioeconomy, the RSB Academy Programme provides accessible, high-quality educational content that empowers individuals and organisations to drive positive sector transformation to a sustainable bioeconomy.
Sustainable Transition Projects
The transition from a fossil-based economy to a more biocircular one is no easy task that can be solved quickly, and in silo. We recognise the need for approaches that are collaborative in nature, have a long-term vision and align with broader sustainable development goals.
Going beyond individual supply chains and points of influence, RSB’s Sustainable Transition Projects aim to set the foundations today for achieving sustainable impact in the future via projects that create the necessary knowledge and stakeholder action to accelerate the sustainable transition to the bio-based and circular economy.
R&D projects
RSB participates in research and development projects alongside academic institutions, scientific research organisations and industry partners to support the development of innovative feedstock and conversion pathways for the bio-based and circular economy.
In these projects, mostly linked to funding from the European Union’s Horizon Programme, the RSB’s robust sustainability framework is applied to R&D initiatives, ensuring that innovations in the bio-based and circular economy don’t only boost growth and promote industrial competitiveness but also deliver positive impacts for people and the planet.
