The basics
Slats that tilt light exactly where you want it.
A blind is built from horizontal slats that tilt open and closed, and raise and lower together. Tilting lets you angle daylight up toward the ceiling, keep a view, or close the slats for privacy, all without fully covering the window.
Blinds are practical and hard-wearing, which makes them a sensible pick for kitchens, offices, kids’ rooms, and rentals. With the slats closed, they cut most of the light, though the gaps between slats are not a full blackout, the way a lined shade or drapery can be.
Materials
Choose the material that fits the room.
The material sets the look, the durability, and the price. These are the three we install most.
Faux wood
Tough, moisture-resistant, and budget-friendly, with the look of painted wood. The practical choice for kitchens, bathrooms, and high-traffic rooms.
Real wood
Genuine wood slats with natural grain and warmth, lighter than faux wood on wide windows. A refined choice for living rooms and bedrooms away from moisture.
Aluminum
Slim metal slats in a clean, low-profile look, durable and easy to wipe down. A simple, affordable pick for offices, laundry rooms, and modern spaces.
Why blinds
What blinds do well.
Precise light angles
Tilt the slats to bounce light up, keep a view, or close for privacy, fine control a single panel cannot match.
Durable & easy-care
Hard slats wipe clean and stand up to busy rooms, moisture, and daily use better than many fabrics.
Budget-friendly
Blinds are often the most affordable custom option, a practical way to do every window in a home.
Child-safe operation
Cordless lift options remove hanging cords, a safer choice for homes with children and pets.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT SLAT
Slat size changes the whole look.
Bigger slats read bolder and show more view when open, smaller slats look tidier on small windows. We help you match the slat size to the room.
2-inch slats
- A clean, classic proportion for most windows
- Tidy on smaller and standard-size openings
- Works well across faux wood and real wood
Popular
2.5-inch slats
- A bolder slat that shows more view when open
- Fewer slats for a cleaner, more architectural look
- A strong choice for wide, tall, or feature windows
Measure & install
A blind is only as good as its fit.
Blinds bind or leave wide light gaps when the measurement is off. We measure on site, confirm inside or outside mount, and install each blind level and square so the slats tilt smoothly and sit clean in the window.

Good to know
Common questions.
Blinds questions. How much do custom blinds cost?
Price depends on the size, the material, and the slat size and lift you choose. Blinds are often the most affordable custom option. After we see the windows, we put together a clear quote so there are no surprises.
Do blinds block out all the light?
No. With the slats closed, blinds cut most of the light, but the gaps between slats and around the edges still let some through. For real room darkening, blackout roller shades or lined drapery are the better choice.
Faux wood or real wood?
Faux wood resists moisture and costs less, which makes it ideal for kitchens and bathrooms. Real wood is lighter and warmer for wide windows in dry rooms. We will help you pick based on the room and budget.
Do you measure and install blinds?
We handle the full process: consultation, in-home measurement, fabric guidance, preparation, and installation. Measurement is complementary for qualified projects.
How long do custom blinds take?
Lead time depends on the material and the order. We give you a realistic timeline once the details are set, and we keep you updated through to installation.
