And in the meantime, a Smart, Proud Woman will have died.

I work with so many Smart Proud Women. I have family (in the adopted sense) that belong in that category. You tell them that, and they'll completely disagree. But they are.

And if I can do one thing in this life that makes me proud, then I can stand up for them.

Hopefully by raising awareness, they can bring about a change in the laws so that insurance companies will have to fund the therapies that these children need.

In just one month, staff members at the facility had restrained Angellika at least 9 times.

On the day she died, Angellika was placed in a face-down "control hold" for blowing bubbles with her milk.

The coroner ruled her death a homicide.

And so many of these places are in states where... "bad kids" face stronger punishments for minor things. To try to break them sooner. Hell I wouldn't be surprised to find out that there's a place like this in Alabama or South Carolina....

There's a 161 of you who may or may not be paying attention to what I'm saying. Maybe you're not because I've been going on and on about happy news. (And the happy news will come back, to be sure.) But this is important.

shoiryu experienced this hell after she had graduated high school. After she had already gone to college. She turned 18 in the place and was still treated like shit. Imagine what an experience like that could do to a young child. Maybe one of y'all's kids.



There is no such thing as a bad child. It took me a while to figure that out. But a child is the product of the environment that they are in. If some one tells a child that they are special and loved, then that child will grow up to believe that they can do anything. If you tell a child that they are worthless and nothing, then that's what they will believe.


I want you guys to do me a favor.

So to explain what my sister posted.


I was at the air show in Beaufort, South Carolina today. If you've seen the news, by now you know what that means.

If not, Blue Angels jet crashes during air show, killing aviator.

Now, last I heard he was alive. That was around 6:30pm EST though. The show ended around 4:30, I guess. They had the main road blocked off, so that the emergency vehicles could get through for a while. So that's why we were stuck. We were finally able to leave around 7:30. I really did try to call. I tried the LJ voice post number, mjules, J, and finally justed texted Valerie to get her to post for me. Thank you, by the way.

My heart goes out to the family of that poor man.

This is a letter I sent to my family. But it's important and we all need to have a say.

Well, thanks to the Copyright Royalty Board, if Congress votes to agree with them, music royalty rates will be raised by 300 to 1200 percent. Those great places we stream music from? Will go bankrupt and be unable to webcast.

Well, as a way of getting my ass writing, (Lee asked me the other day if I ever get any writing done) I signed up for stilettocamp. My daily goal is 150 words.

A day runs whenever my day runs. So from when I get home in the afternoon till I go to bed.

I haven't gone to bed yet, therefore, still Wednesday.

Someone on my friends list asked what was up with the wank. And why no one had linked to it. I'm not going to put lj names in here. Either you'll know who I'm talking about or not. I don't care. I'm tired of people beating up on my friends just because those peopele can't handle it.

The main reason I didn't link to it, is because some of the so-called "BNF's" are my friends, and it's really annoying to see their names get dragged through the mud again and again.

Person #2 is one of the sweetest, most talented people I've ever had the chance to meet online. The fact that she's BFF with one of the other most amazing people, who will do anything to help her friends out in the drop of a hat (and has for me a few times), and that Person #1 will rec what Person #2, and Person #3 write, well. Don't we all rec our friends? That's basically what the wanker is talking about. How we in SPN shouldn't just rec our friends.

But if Person #1 writes an amazing story, then I want the rest of my friends list to read it. Same for Person #2. If one of them recs a story, then I'll probably go read it, and probably rec it. I really don't care if it's written by someone that fandom considers to be a BNF.

I'm sorry if I'm ranting your friends list. It just gets me so annoyed to see people get upset and then hurt my friends because they don't get a lot of comments on their stuff. Boo hoo. We don't write to get other people's approval. If your (universal you) writing is so dependent on other people's feedback, then there's a place for you. The Pit of Voles. I know that I treasure the small amount of detailed feedback that I get over three pages of "I love you! You're so awesome!" that some people get.

Ok, I'm going to walk away now, because I'm not doing anything but getting upset. And yes, I'm unlocking this entry. I'm doing it on purpose.


ETA: My apologies. I was upset when I wrote this, and still am. This has nothing to do with anyones writing and solely to do with the use of names in a post that didn't need them. And how that has upset my friends.
