“Thermodynamics’ Third Law (Revised)”

I can feel my body

going back to Earth each day,

as it justly must*!

*(when I counted that last line’s alternate in the original I realized “After Math” had stuck again!  as it justly does – because after man came – and still does – recess.  The old “but plenty remains” now just a second thought relegated back to the dust, as it were)

“I Just Do-The-Math” Tanka 192

When it used to take

six hours, six days or six weeks

to heal, I was game:

six months? Well…all right, I’ll go.

But now? Six years? I will shoot!

“Revenge Of The Booze”

Second-beer sleepy,

so many seasons spent to

become a cheap date!

“Feed My Friends”

Dying all alone

in the deepest woods or swamp:

give back to the beasts!

“Can You Still Breathe?”

if you can draw breath

you can do yoga – so do!

the least is the most!

“Not Really A Lie”

the nice thing about

wine, cheese, meat, men and whisky –

all better with age!
