‘Reignite Democracy Australia‘ was founded in August 2020 in response to the world’s harshest lockdowns imposed by then-Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews.
From 2020 to 2022, we became one of Australia’s most prominent voices opposing excessive lockdown measures and vaccine mandates.
Since then, we’ve expanded into a global organisation (dropping the word ‘Australia’). We are actively engaged in strategic political actions that help us maintain our collective and individual liberty.

About
Our Founder, Monica Smit
Monica has been on the front line of Australia’s freedom movement since August 2020. She hit the international stage when she spent 22 days in solitary confinement in a high-security prison for promoting anti- lockdown protests. After one year of fighting those charges, they’ve been dropped, and she is free to continue her work.

Is Reignite Democracy a right-wing, racist, anti-Semitic or white supremacist organisation?
No, it is not racist. We do not support white supremacism, We do not support violence in any form. We are not anti-Semitic. We do label ourselves as right-wing. We simply believe in individual and collective liberty for all.
What do you do with our data?
When you subscribe, it is ONLY us who gets your data. We will send you emails, that’s all. We ask for your ‘suburb’ and ‘country’ so we can send location-specific emails and campaigns. This avoids people getting emails that don’t apply to them.
Are you affiliated with a political party?
No. We will work with anyone aligned with our mission.
What’s your policy on mandatory vaccinations?
We are not anti or pro-vax. We are pro-choice. That means we don’t accept any mandatory medical procedures or services. Bodily freedom means we should all have a choice what we put into, or take out, of our bodies. We believe this is a fundamental democratic right. For one to make an informed decision, they must be given all the information and risk-assessments. Informed consent in necessary for any medical trials or treatments.
Is Reignite Democracy a Not-for-profit organisation?
NFP organisations are very limited in what they can do and are watched closely by regulators. They cannot do any political campaigning. It’s for these reason that we are registered as a PTY LTD. However, we run as a NFP by taking NO profits out of the organisation whatsoever.
