In the United States, currently 14 vector-borne diseases (VBD) are of national public health concern as cases have increased significantly, with more than 1 million cases reported between 2001 and 2023. Annual reported VBD cases have more than doubled, with climate change serving as a factor influencing distribution and prevalence.
