Psoriatic arthritis is a chronic inflammatory arthritic disease with a range of treatment options from nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), glucocorticoids, and disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs). Methotrexate is the classic conventional synthetic DMARD (csDMARD) for psoriatic arthritis, but treatment failure can occur. In this case, a number of biologic DMARDs (bDMARDs) and targeted-synthetic DMARDs (tsDMARDs) are also available to control disease activity.

Janus kinase inhibitors (JAKIs) are one of the tsDMARDs that have recently been used to treat psoriatic arthritis. Although significant efficacy has been demonstrated, JAKIs are not without their own safety concerns and other nuances for use.

How much do you know about JAKI use in patients with psoriatic arthritis? Test your knowledge with this quick quiz.
