Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic, immune-mediated neurodegenerative disease of the central nervous system. Therapeutic options for MS include anti-inflammatory or immunosuppressive therapy and disease-modifying therapies (DMTs). Despite advances in treatment, MS remains a life-limiting disease with symptoms that can profoundly affect patients' and caregivers' health-related quality of life (HRQOL). A multidisciplinary approach for the ongoing management of symptoms is essential to enable individuals with MS to have the best HRQOL possible.
