Upstate

Heading north.

Northbound on the Adirondack Northway (Interstate 87) just south of Plattsburgh, NY.
It is—
as we like to say—
a straight shot
up I-87—
yet
after a while
the lines
give way
to curves ~
rounded
forms ~ inter~
faces
between
cloud
sky
and tree ~
and the road
unfurls atop
undulating earth ~
an arm wrap~
ping its length
around
stone mountain
and wood.
