Where is the MAG?
We are located in downtown Red Deer, next to the Golden Circle and the Recreation Centre – if you’re using Google Maps to navigate, make sure you put in Rotary Recreation Park, so you’re directed to our free parking lot out front! You know you’ve found us when you see the brick building with big white letters that say MAG on the front.
‘MAG’ stands for the Museum + Art Gallery.
Are you wheelchair accessible?
Yes! Our facility is equipped with automatic doors, and all exhibits are on one floor. Our washrooms each have an accessible stall.
Is there an admission fee?
Admission to the MAG is free. Donations are gratefully accepted.
What about the koi fish?
The original koi fish were donated to the MAG in 1984 by the Red Deer & District Chinese Community Society. Our current koi fish are between the ages of 19-23! Stop by and say hi!
There’s no such thing as a silly question in our world. If you’re wondering about visiting, collections, exhibits, programs, or events, please reach out. We encourage you to connect with us by phone at 587.797.4040 or by emailing [email protected].
See you soon!
