debris

I’m looking down, like I fear the drop.
I could climb up, but I’m falling apart—
darting my mind, as the time departs.
Can you see a flare? I need the prayer.

Life is no fairytale; I saved every detail.
I’ve its book—pick a page, and stick to it,
or wash your hands, saying, “I knew it.”
The brave cannot hide, or the lies deny.

The sky is falling down to drown cries,
to meet its ground, to finalize its sum.
Oh well—unlike the donkey in the well,
we won’t dig our way out of this one.

  1. ‘The sky is falling down to drown cries; To meet its ground; to finalize its sum. Oh well, unlike the donkey in the well, – We won’t dig our way out of this one.’ Amazing lines.
