As you maybe have read in the beginning, I own a Tamiya TL01. It was the first real RC car for me, after owning a bunch of cheap rc cars from toystores.

My TL01 started it life completely standard. From it’s mechanical speed controller to the plastic bushes instead off ball bearings. For me, at that time, the car was quite fast. I drove that car so much, the only downside at that time was the long time I had to wait for a battery to charge.
