Then I had a great big lightbulb. I decided to see if I could put to good use all those hours of my life I’ve wasted on the Internet. So here’s my challenge to you-LiveJournalers, Tweeps, Farkers, Kossacks and Facebookers:
If you are in a position to do so, if education has put you in a position to do so, donate two bookbags/backpacks and supplies to go in each. A Google search for “school supply donations” returned about 1,930,000 results. I’m sure you can find an organization to accept your donation. Or if shopping just isn’t your thing, donate $32. Show me the power of the Internets for good. I dare you.

To the driver of the black sports sedan that cut off the #4 bus at 6th and Hennepin at about 7:45 this morning:
You are an ass. You do not make a right turn from the middle right lane, cutting in front of a bus. If the bus driver hadn't been remarkablly attentive and reacted instantly, you'd be a fiberglass smear on Hennepin right now, which is what you rightfully should be. You're also DAMN lucky i didn't hurt myself when i went ass over teakettle damn near through the windshield, leanding in a heap in the stairs by the front door. I wouldn't have been pissed at the driver or Metro Transit. I'd have been pissed at YOU. god I wish the driver had gotten your license plate.

As you know, I spent last weekend packing. Last Monday after work I went to sign my lease. It should have been a red-letter day for me. Instead it was a disaster. The highlight (lowlight) of the evening was me tripping and doing a face-plant into the door of the #4 bus. Bloodied my nose and the whole bit. My left shin is still badly bruised and very sore.
I spent yesterday packing. I'm down to odds and ends now, the detritus that just gets thrown into a box labeled "stuff".
I'm really tired, but i'm so thankfully it's all coming together. I realized that the last three times I moved, I was working and going to school. No wonder I was so overwhelmed and exhausted. I mean, I'm pretty beat right now, but that's because it's almost done, and done in three days of effort.
I get my keys tomorrow after work. Then every Saturday and Sunday will be spent transporting. On the weekend of the 6th/7th, I'll have
Anyone local f-lister who gets bored and wants to help, just show up basically any weekend day after say 10 AM.
Yes, I was partially kidding. But only partially.

Right from the middle lane? What an ass. Not "Oh I missed it I'll turn around", it's "GOTTA GO HERE!!!!"
