안녕하세요!

welcome to my personal livejournal :D
this is my personal space where I will post anything I like and most of them will be fiction, artwork, and any other kpop-related things. before you stroll around, I guess I shall make some kind of introduction to let you know what kind of person who runs this blog and what kind of things you may find here :)
more about meCollapse )

and if you happen to be a fan (or merely a reader) of my fics, you can click the link below to access the master list of my works. thank you so much for reading my not-so-good fics but please take note that I'm not fond of silent readers and I strongly despise copycat and/or thief. I know I'm practically a nugu but I beg you not to re-post or re-upload my works without my permission, thanks.

I can't believe I'm back here on livejournal, only to exclusively write a post about this series I've been obsessed with for the past month, titled business proposal (사내 맞선). this series is an adaptation from a webtoon/manhwa with the same title, and it (sadly) just ended earlier this week :(

from the poster and trailer video, you can tell that ... yes, it's a romantic comedy. yes, it's cheesy and light. yes, it has almost everything I've been avoiding from the past year. (additional tmi: the korean series I watched last year are only the uncanny counter, mouse, squid game, hospital playlistI was totally not in the mood for romantic comedy for quite some time)

and yet ... I found myself totally fall in love with this series

almost 3 months after 100 days my prince (백일의 낭군님) ended, I finally decided to binge-watch it in only 5 days.
why didn't I watch this drama sooner? look, I love kyungsoo so muchㅡI even support his solo career (be it in acting or singing) more than my own bias (lol sorry joonmyun-ah)ㅡbut I really am not a fan of historical drama. come to think of it, as far as I can remember, this is most likely the first historical korean drama I really watched/followed from the beginning 'til the end. and sorry to say, even after finished watching it, I'm still not a fan of historical drama. if it wasn't for kyungsoo, I wouldn't even watched this drama anyway, so just a heads-up: this is going to be a rather biased review.

been a kpop fangirl for more than 8 years now, the thought "am I too old for this?" had occurred way more often than ever. I know liking something shouldn't be limited by age and I know there are other fans who share the same age, or even older, than me. but something still bothers me and I don't think age is the solely reason behind it.

you see, I've been feeling like I don't genuinely enjoy kpop anymore, at least like the way I used to. I still follow my fave groups (although it had narrowed down to only 1-3 groups/artists because ain't nobody got time to follow too many groups and their activities) but I've started to wonder for quite a long time if I'm still following them because I still love them and genuinely enjoy their music ... or just out of blind loyalty, if you know what I mean.

I feel like kpop nowadays (especially the last 2-3 years) is all about popularity voting, youtube MV views, digital charts, physical album sales, twitter trending topic, and majority of the fandom now are quite obsessed over numbers and achievements. don't get me wrong, I do agree that the things I just mentioned are indeed very important to keep our faves relevant in the industry especially in this era. however, it feels like they overshadow what in my opinion should be the most important thing in fangirling: enjoying the music and performance.

aside from the changing environment though, I do feel like ... I'm getting sick of kpop? like I said earlier, I'm not sure what still holds me here. I kept saying that my faves is the only reason why I'm still in kpop fandom, but ... it's just like when you're having a relationship with someone and you're not sure if you're still together because you still love them, or only because you're used to them. kpop has been my kind of sanctuary for the past 8 years and sometimes I feel like I keep coming back to it because I don't have better entertainment/distraction, you know what I mean?

so yeah idk. maybe all I need now is a great distraction.

after contemplating a lot (like, really a lot), I finally decided to write a proper review of this korean drama I recently finished watching. I've been waiting for this drama to air ever since the first time I heard about itㅡaround december 2017ㅡbut apparently it took months of editing and finishing before we were finally able to watch it at the beginning of june 2018.

the drama I'm talking about is 너도 인간이니? aka are you human too.

*long sigh*
I can't even remember when was the last time I wrote fics, probably somewhere in february or march 2015. I know I've promised I won't abandon my ongoing fics but that's exactly what I'm doing :(
truthfully speaking, I do have time to write even though I have a very boring full-time job. and it's not like I'm lazy either because I'll always try to have time to do what I like.

but the problem is ... I'm totally uninspired.

being uninspired is different than having a writer's block. I don't even know how to explain it but I don't have the urge to continue my ongoing fics anymore. the first and main reason is probably the fact that I no longer ship certain pairing(s) I used to ship, thus writing about them now doesn't give me excitement. second, it's embarrasing but tbh I don't have confidence to write again. it actually has a lot to do with my personal issue but it's kinda uncomfortable for me to disclose it here, sorry. and third, since I don't use english on a daily basis I feel like my english has been declining a lot, lol lame excuse, I know.

I enjoy reading lots of fic every dayㅡfluffs, romance, comedy, slight angst, etc. reading how awesome the authors deliver them somehow made me feel more inferior rather than motivated. at this rate I really don't know how to bring back my inspiration and motivation to write. so if there are people out there who have been waiting for my updates I'm terribly sorry because I don't know if I will ever update again or not. sorry :(

yep, she was pretty (그녀는 예뻤다) that many people have been talking about for the past weeks/months.
according to wikipedia, it's a romantic comedy about two past acquaintances who meet again after they've gone through a reversal of fortunes and appearances, set in the backdrop of a fashion magazine's publishing office.

okay, I know I'm late. like super late. very very extremely late. but whatever, better late than never, right? especially for such a great drama like this one, I'm thankful I watched it despite being 2 years late rather than not watching it at all.

anyway this may sounds weird but I became interested in this drama because of kill me heal me. I finished watching it like a week before and jisung's acting really amazed me that I became curious about his wife's (lee boyoung) acting. not really related, I know, but that was how I hear your voice was added to my to-watch list.

wow I can't believe I'm finally reviewing a korean series. I mean, unlike most of my friends, it's hard for me to start watching a certain series and stick to it 'til the end because I get bored really, really easily. so yeah you can say that the number of korean series I've watched in the past year is less than the number of EXO or even BTS members, LOL.

but then about a month ago suddenly I had this urge to watch a series, anything good. thus I asked for my friends' recommendations and most of them answered healer. sooo here I am, finishing the whole episode in only 4 days, booyah!

Healer-p1

it has been raining since last night and I just feel like listening to this song. I know it's not friday but for some reasons this song is just perfect for rainy days (or basically whenever you need a peace of mind).

PS: I miss my fandom/livejournal friends :(
