Oleander - Mother Mother

You stood beside me when I was out of my mind.
I broke the glass and you were there to sweep it aside
And if you leave me, rest assured it would kill me.
I make a mess and you’ll be there to help me undress.
I’ll be unclean, I’ll be obscene, you be the rest
And if you leave me, rest assured it would kill me.
Like an Oleander, white, white leaves.
Oh an Oleander, like, like me.

Eyes like a child, in a sty, I play with fire
I burn you right out, I burned your bible
You tried to cry but only smiled
And if you leave me, rest assured it would kill me.
(Rest assured if you leave)
Like an Oleander, white white leaves.
Oh an Oleander, like, like me.
Oh an Oleander, white white leaves.
Oh an Oleander, like, like me.

((Note from Mun: LAWL, THIS PROFILE IS OLD AND FUNNY. CELEBRATING SIX --THAT'S RIGHT, SIX-- FULL YEARS OF CRACK.))

Full Name: Rabastan Lestrange
Goes By: Rabies, Strange Lestrange...but call him Rabastard and it's all over.
Birthdate: November 2, 1961
Age: 49 (2010) 60 (2021)
House (while in school): Slytherin
Wand: Length – 10”, Wood – Mahogany, Core – Falcon Bone
Pets: None now, but was very fond of a cat he had during school, Cinderella. She was an off-white cat with black paws and a black nose. Sometime around his fifth year she disappeared.

Appearance: Average height, 5'9”. Dark hair, hazel eyes. Often sickly looking from an apparent lack of sleep, and clearly haunted by the terrors of Azkaban in a physical sense. Prior to his time in Azkaban he was much heavier, but is now just a mere shadow of what he was before. His attitude makes him look much younger than he really is, given his child-like demeanor at times. Suddenly, however, especially when given the chance to do something vile, he can take on a vicious look.

Personality and Motives: Rabastan's personality is very active-dependent. He will do anything to be a part of something and push himself into situations where he's appreciated. He can't stand being alone. He's fun-loving at times, but suffers from severe mental problems. He's delusional and often hears thoughts that he construes to be others' comments or others' commands. This is due to a late onslaught of schizophrenia that reared its head during his time in Azkaban. His tolerance for pain has changed since his earlier days. He enjoys pain and causing pain as he sees it to be the only thing letting him know he's still alive. He felt nothing while imprisoned and this led to an obsession with pain and pleasure, which often come in the same form. There are times when he reverts to a very dark, calm state when he needs to play a part. The thought of killing or destroying clears his head up enough to be a very cunning and vile pawn of Voldemort. He loves his brother, but his love for his sister-in-law is causing great turmoil inside of him.

Biography: Rabastan is two years younger than his brother Rodolphus. Each were treated like princes of their own home, or so everyone thought. Rabastan's parents were abusive and neglectful. While his brother seemed to take it in stride and shut off from everyone, making him more admired by his parents, Rabastan was thought of as the mistake. He was the one that should have been the daughter, the one who would never be the heir, the one that should have been drowned in the river as soon as he was born.

He often found himself in trouble. School proved to be harsh on Rabastan. He was average in grades, never quite as good as Rodolphus. His weight was a target for cruel remarks and often led to fights, as Rabastan almost always resorted to violence. After a few years of constant abuse, he began to hang around Rodolphus and his friends learning hexes and spells that weren't taught in the classroom. This new sense of power and the talk of a new age of the rising of a Dark Lord allowed him to begin to get back at those who had teased him in his first years at Hogwarts. He began to make a few friends his age from his own house who he hung around with after his brother had left school. He joined the Death Eaters shortly after his brother and Bellatrix and became fully devoted to the Dark Lord and his political and unethical agenda. He found no problem in torture or even in murder for what was “right”, and after a while found it exciting. When the Dark Lord fell and he and his brother and sister-in-law were sent to Azkaban, he was proud to go down fighting for what he believed in, even if it meant facing the horrors within the stone walls of the prison. Being free again is an unknown to Rabastan. His psyche has changed so much since he went into prison that he still feels trapped by the schizophrenia that has surfaced. To him he hasn't really changed, even if he does notice a difference. His sickness has become a natural part of himself and who he is, making him all the more disturbing.

Recent Timeline:

Rabastan met Heather in a mall convenience store while ransacking the place with his sister-in-law, Bellatrix Lestrange. At the time Heather was Batgirl. A fight ensued and Rabastan wound up kidnapping Heather, along with her partner in the fight, Raven Wayne a.k.a. White Knight. Heather's mental state was unstable at the time and she allowed Rabastan to whisk her into his delusional world. Together they kidnapped Raven and Tim Wayne's son, Lukas, and gave him to the clutches of The Joker and Harley Quinn. Lukas was tortured, severely, and Heather and Rabastan sank deeper into their madness.

Heather became pregnant and the two lovers were sentenced to Arkham Asylum. They got married, but broke out before Heather was set to give birth. With the help of Dick Grayson, Heather was taken to the local Gotham Clinic and gave birth to a daughter, Astrid. For four years Rabastan, Heather, and Astrid were on the run. They ransacked homes and killed families, staying wherever they could and taking whatever they needed. Eventually, they wound up in Italy at the Lestrange manor. Rabastan's parents, Vega and Isobel returned to the home to find their youngest son and his new family. The arrival of Bellatrix Lestrange, pregnant, eased some of the hostility that was forming between Rabastan and his parents. It was short-lived, however, and things soon turned ugly. Vega and Isobel's decision to raise Astrid themselves sent Rabastan into a rage. It was Astrid, however, that threw the first spell. Under Rabastan's urging, and at age 4, she killed her grandfather. Soon after that, Rabastan murdered his mother.

Fleeing once again, Rabastan and his ladies wound up in Las Vegas. It was here that they were captured and sent back to Arkham. Astrid was sent to live with her mother's adopted father and uncle. Heather made exceptional progress during this time in Arkham, but Rabastan's progression was much slower.

The Joker made an escape from Arkham, dragging Heather and Rabastan with him as hostages. Given their innocence in this incident, they were allowed to stay with Fox Mulder (Heather's adopted father) and Jeffrey Spender (Mulder's brother) under careful watch.

Rabastan decided that he wanted to visit his sister-in-law who had been locked away in a metahuman prison in Metropolis. Mulder decided he has been well enough and could do well going to see her. Bella informed Rabastan that there was a large breakout staged for that night, and Rabastan promised to meet with her so they could run away together and start their own family. After the breakout, Rabastan and Bellatrix kidnapped Astrid as well as Bellatrix' twin boys who had been living with their father, Dick Grayson.

Months passed and Astrid had not given up trying to convince her father that he is married to Heather and not Bellatrix. At this point, Rabastan is so lost in his delusion he is certain that she is making this up. Astrid helps the twins to escape and Rabastan does nothing to stop them. Angered by his negligence, Bellatrix attacked Rabastan with a butcher knife and announced she was pregnant with his child. That night, Astrid gave Bellatrix pennyroyal tea in an attempt to abort her future half-sibling. However, Bellatrix bled out and was dead by morning. Upon seeing her in this state, Rabastan completely loses it. Deep down he knew that Astrid was responsible, but he claims to be the one that killed Bellatrix when they come to take him back to Arkham.

Rabastan's third stint in Arkham was more difficult on him. He was alone, his wife wanted a divorce, he couldn't see his daughter very much, and he was feeling guilt for the first time in his life. Blair Holmes who had been helping him through much of his hardships becomes a guardian angel to Rabastan. He keeps Rabastan going through it all and eventually convinces him to take his medication every day and begin talking to the doctors. It takes months, but eventually Heather decides she is willing to give Rabastan another chance. Rabastan improves tremendously over the next few months, and is even allowed to do small outings as long as Blair is around.

Things seem to be looking up for Rabastan, until his hearing. All the progress he had made, he was convinced that he would be allowed back into the care of his wife and father-in-law. However, he is denied this ability. Convinced that there was some voice of higher authority keeping Rabastan in Arkham, Blair Holmes and Sammy Ainsworth pay a visit to the mayor of Gotham. They claim that the corruption at Arkham Asylum is keeping Rabastan where he no longer belongs. The mayor brings the news to the media, who rally around Rabastan and treat him as a victim of a corrupt system. Rabastan is broken out by a mysterious event, but the media backs him the entire time. At this point, it also comes to light that the Wayne Family is the family behind the caped crusaders, Batman, Robin, White Knight, Nightwing, and Falconer. The Wayne Family is arrested and put on trial. They are finally acquitted after a grievously long trial, but Rabastan is allowed to live at home, once more.

BAM, BITCHES!

[Rabastan Lestrange was invented by J.K. Rowling, but she obviously didn't want him anymore. Therefore most of his story is mine, now. Thanks, Jo! I am not Gerard Way, obviously.]
