Project4Equality: Feminist March on March 8th

Flyer Womens March The Hague 8 March 2024

International Women’s Day 8th of March is tomorrow and Project4Equality is holding a Feminist March in The Hague!

Their goal is to stand in solidarity with the global struggle against the patriarchy, amplify voices and hold space for different experiences living under the patriarchy.

What is Project4Equality standing for? A lot of intersectional demands, see their list on the second slide. The March is, amongst others, a commemoration for trans women and their exclusion in modern day feminism. They also strive for the protection and celebration of queer and trans contributions and spaces.

Do you have something you’d like to highlight? Come and join the Feminist March on Friday March 8th!

Project4Equality: Feminist Exhibition 2.0 on Saturday 17 February

Illustration for the Project4Equality Feminist Exhibition 2.0 on Saturday 17 February. The black thick text letters are put against a night blue background. The text says: Exhibition 2.0 - P4E - Project 4 Equality @ the Grey Space 17.02.24. The letters P4E are punt in a five points star drawn with a thin black line.

Feminism is unique and personal to each individual. Feminism is understood as an identity which intersects with several other identity markers like queerness, gender, race, class etc. The feminist exhibition 2.0 explores the multidimensional and intersectional identities of feminists, through several mediums like photography, film, textile, collage and music.

As part of the exhibition, a space is created for spoken word artists, musicians, and poets to share their stories in the form of an Open Mic. The aim is to stimulate, empower, and encourage the community and to share ideas. Any topic is welcome in this open and welcoming environment. No registration is needed beforehand.

The Hague December 9th: Reading Group: Reading My Panties: Queer Pillow Talk

Flyer for the event The Hague December 9th: Reading Group: Reading My Panties: Queer Pillow Talk.

Join for an intimate and thought-provoking afternoon at the Reading Group: Reading My Panties: Queer Pillow Talk on Saturday December 9th, 16.00-18.00.

During this reading session facilitated by Ange Neveu (they/them), you’ll join a journey through the theme of ‘Contagions, highs, and fevers’. This exploration will delve into the contagious experiences of queerness, the exhilarating highs of gender expression, and the feverish desires that course through our beings.

Through selected readings, you’ll navigate the terrain of emotions and encounters that may be excessive, unhealthy, addictive, uncontrollable, or self-indulgent, and examine how they traverse from one body to the next. The discussion may also touch on the intriguing notion of panties as a guardian of these bodily trepidations.

Trigger warning: the reading material will touch upon sensitive topics including drug use and abuse, alcoholism, transphobia, suicide and ideation, as well as rape and sexual violence.

Project 2.0 Gallery – Maayke Schuitema
