Eligibility
All Current BCIT Full Time & Flexible Learning Students are eligible for this event.
Project and Submission Requirements
- All project code must be written between 5:30 PM on Friday, March 8 and 10:00 AM on Sunday, March 10.
- You may plan for your project in advance, but you may not write any code prior to the event.
- All code must be available on a public repository like Github
Judging Criteria
Design
Is the user experience and design easy to interact with?
Quality of Idea and Potential Impact
How creative is the project? What problem does it solve, and how much value does it create for its end users? How innovative and unique is the solution compared to existing approaches?
Implementation
Is the project well-executed? Does the prototype work? How complete is the final deliverable?
Presentation
How well is the project pitched? Does the demo contain a live walkthrough, is it engaging and creative? How effectively did the team demonstrate collaboration and communication between students in different programs?
Prizes
First Place: $2000
Second Place: $1000
Third Place: $500

To register for this event, simply click on this link and you will be redirected to the official QDS Hacks 2024 Square page where you will need to purchase a ticket.
Teams must have a minimum of 4 people, with 1 computing student and 1 business student. The maximum team size allowed will be 6. We suggest your team include at least (1) developer, (1) business expert, and (1) designer. If you don't have a team, no need to worry. We can place you on a team that needs team members or join our Discord channel to find a group.
