Quality Council of India accreditation helps organisations demonstrate that they meet recognised national and international standards. It confirms that institutions, laboratories, hospitals, certification bodies, and training organisations operate with competence, reliability, and strong quality systems.

Accreditation by the Quality Council of India (QCI) builds trust among customers, regulators, and global partners. It ensures that processes are transparent, consistent, and aligned with international best practices.

Through its specialised Boards, QCI offers sector-specific accreditation schemes that strengthen credibility, improve performance, and enable wider national and international acceptance.

The National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies (NABCB), a constituent board of the Quality Council of India, provides accreditation to certification, inspection, and validation and verification bodies in accordance with International standards and NABCB criteria. NABCB accreditation ensures that conformity assessment bodies operate with competence, impartiality, and consistency, enabling global acceptance of certifications/inspections issued by NABCB accredited bodies. NABCB is signatory to the Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) / Multilateral Recognition Arrangements (MLAs) of Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC) as well as to Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated [earlier to International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC)].

The National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) is India’s national accreditation body, established in accordance with ISO/IEC 17011 offers voluntary accreditation to a wide range of laboratories and service providers across India and the region, including:

NABL is a signatory to Mutual Recognition Arrangements (MRA) with:

  1. ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation)
  2. APAC (Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation)

The National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH), a constituent board of the Quality Council of India, provides accreditation to hospitals and healthcare organisations in accordance with established national and international standards. NABH accreditation ensures that healthcare providers deliver safe, high-quality, and patient-centric services through well-defined protocols, competent staff, and continuous quality improvement systems. This enhances trust in healthcare institutions and promotes excellence in healthcare delivery across India and beyond.

The National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET), a constituent board of the Quality Council of India, provides accreditation to education, training, and certification bodies in accordance with ISO/IEC 17011 and relevant international standards. NABET accreditation ensures that accredited organisations maintain robust processes, qualified faculty, and effective systems for delivering education and training services. This strengthens the credibility, consistency, and global recognition of training and certification programmes across sectors.
