Knowledge Base Administrators and Moderators Guide The Review Queue

The Review Queue

The Review area (or queue) is the place Administrators and Moderators go to approve or disapprove members and/or content flagged for moderation. The Review Queue is populated through Automation Rules, or by flagging members or content for review. To access the Review area, click on Manage > Review.

The Review area is comprised of several tabs, depending what is enabled on the Crowdstack site. For example, if you do not have the Support feature enabled, the tab will not appear.

  • Content - where content needs to be approved before going live on the site.
  • Support - where support related content is sent prior to being managed. Only included if the "Support" module is enabled for your Crowdstack Pro.
  • Members - where new registrations appear for approval/disapproval.
  • Members Needing Parental Approval - where underaged registrations appear that require approval by their parents to join and participate. (Note, this is only applicable if you have set age restrictions for your members.)

How to Tag or Populate Members and Content for Review

You can push members and/or content approvals to the Review area in several ways.

Automated Rules For Site: Refer to our Automation Rules knowledge base post for more information on how to use these rules. You can use them to do things like:

  • Moderate Content
  • Moderate Content by Members Until They Have a Certain Point Total
  • Moderate Members Who Change Email Address or Profile Information
  • Moderate New Registration

Forwarding Existing Content to Review Queue: Moderators can also push content that is already published to the Review Queue. Why would they do this? Each site has their own rules of engagement. Let's say there is a rule not to include product links in posts. In this case, if a moderator saw a comment post with a product link, they could send the comment to the Review Queue to have others review the post.
