You can customize the design of your site via Manage > Settings > Design > Display Settings. There are two tabs on this page- Settings and Images. The Images tab is comprised of certain images used by the application that you can replace with your own. In this article, we are going to focus on the "Settings" tab,
Theme: The theme is a set of colors and fonts used to determine the overall look and feel of your site. Use the drop down menu to select from the available themes. If you plan permits it, you can click on the "Manage Themes" link below the menu to customize the existing themes or create new ones.
Default Landing Page: This is the page that your visitors will see when they initially visit your site.
Private Landing Page: When your site is marked Private (Manage > Basics > Public/Private), non-members will receive a message if they try to access the site. Use the toggle to choose between a default Crowdstack message or creating your own Custom Message. If you select Custom Message, a text editor will pop-up allow you to create the message.
Reactions: These are the emoticons that members use to create reactions to content/replies/comments. You can choose to use "likes" (heart emoji) only or support a full set of reactions.
Parent Website. If this is enabled, a link back to your main site (outside of Crowdstack Pro) will be included in all breadcrumbs.
Custom Code for Head Section: Sometimes you need to access the HEAD code area for your community, to place analytics snippets, ad code, or other things. Apply any custom HTML code. This will be inserted on ALL pages inside the HEAD tags. In terms of placement, it will be inserted above any theme-specific Custom HEAD code. Make sure you understand what kinds of code is intended/supported inside a HEAD tag, before applying any code.
Custom CSS: You can insert your own custom CSS site-wide to control the look and feel of the community in detail. You do not have to wrap this CSS with a STYLE tag. The code in this box will be applied to all pages on your site. If you wish to add custom CSS for a particular theme only, you should not apply it here, but rather to that specific theme instead. Whatever you place here will be automatically inserted inside the HEAD tag of all pages on your Crowdstack site.
End of Page HTML: This text box field allows admins to include JavaScript with dependencies on jQuery after it has been initialized. Please follow the instructions included for this field.
Limit Display of Signatures to Primary Posts Only: Signatures are a customizable snippet that members can include on their posts. Admins can decide whether members can use signatures at all (there is a permission setting for that), and then whether signatures appear only on the initial post within a topic or every time the member posts, including replies. To limit signatures to only the initial post, enable this function.
Default Guest Time Zone: You are able to choose the default time zone used for visitors who are not logged in. (Logged-in members can choose their own preference for time zone display.)
Default Sort Order for Comments: A drop-down allow admins to choose how to display the order of comments.
Default Sort Order for Member Directory. A drop-down allows admins to choose the sort order for the Member Directory (when members click on the Member menu).
If you update any of these settings, make sure to click the Update Settings button at the bottom of the page to save your changes.
