If your Prevent Direct Access Gold license expires, certain features will be disabled, and your protection will revert to the free version of PDA (PDA Free). While PDA Free will still provide basic protection for your private media files, some premium features will no longer be available.
These features will be disabled:
- Private Links: Customize and autogenerate new private links *
- IP Restriction: stop certain IP addresses from accessing private download links
- Shared Private Links (Private Magic Links extension): Update download expiry and limit for “shared private links” *
How about Prevent Direct Access Gold Extensions?
If your Prevent Direct Access Gold subscription expires, all associated extensions (such as Protect WordPress Videos, File Access Permission, and Membership Integration) will no longer be usable.
Our extensions receive regular updates with new features and improvements. However, some of these updates may not be compatible with older versions of Prevent Direct Access Gold. While you might still be able to use the extensions with the outdated version, there is a significant risk that they will not function correctly and could potentially cause issues with your website. This is beyond our control and could result in an undesirable experience.
For security and compatibility reasons, we must disable the extensions once your PDA Gold subscription expires. To ensure uninterrupted access to all features and maintain full functionality, we strongly recommend renewing your PDA Gold subscription.
Important Note:
If your license expires and you renew or update it, all the settings you configured before the expiration will be preserved. Once your license is renewed or updated, your settings will function as they did previously, and all premium features will be restored.
