Potato Guy is a playful, open-source creativity game by developer Albert Astals Cid. Inspired by the classic Mr. Potato Head, it lets children drag and drop eyes, mouths, hats, and other whimsical pieces onto a potato or themed scenes to build funny characters. Designed for very young users, it features a simple, mouse-friendly interface with no scores, timers, or reading required—just open-ended, imaginative play. Part of the KDE Games collection, it also offers voice or sound feedback for many items, introducing basic vocabulary in multiple languages, and lets you save your creations as images.

Highlights:

  • Drag-and-drop play across multiple themed backgrounds (potato, penguin, space, and more)
  • Kid-friendly interface with no pressure or complexity
  • Optional voice/sound cues in various languages
  • Great for developing fine motor skills and creativity
