Marlowe [Jun. 16th, 2026|07:17 am]
Tony Grist
Marlowe was old and sick. He had arthritis and dementia and some condition- only guessed at- that was making him lose weight. Yesterday we had a nice young woman come out to help him over the final hurdle.

He had been with us something like 12 years. It'll take us a while to adjust.

Off you go, Marly, into the meadowlands. Have fun.....

Ah, what a beauty. I'm sorry for your loss. I understand this type of grief intimately.

He was about 16 (don't know for certain because he was a rescued stray) and unwell. There comes a time when you have to let them go.....

Okay, so he was notably sick... Guess, one could also notice it by the way he behaved recently that he wasn't doing good?

I'm sorry to hear about Marlowe. When you've lived with a companion animal for years, it always leaves a big hole when they've gone.

I am so sorry. Like ravengirl, I understand this kind of grief all too well. And what you did for him is so generous! You will see him in the corners...

Such a beauty your Marlowe was!

I'm deeply sorry for your loss, yet believe he was grateful to be released to go to the meadow.

May Heaven bless and comfort all of you.

Very sorry for your loss. I wonder if he'd become diabetic. We had to give our boy cat shots for a year, and in the end it didn't really help much.
