Elevate Experiences with Poet Creator by Skandal Tech
Skandal Technologies are the developers of the Poet Creator Software. Our team of designers, specialist developers and operations and management experts, shares a wealth of experience in harnessing new technology to enhance human interactions in architecture. Founded in Helsinki, Finland, with operational base in Madrid, Spain, Skandal Tech serves clients globally. The company is recognised as an innovation start-up and benefits from R&D backing by Business Finland and CDTI, Spain and funding from Mundi Ventures.
Illuminating Intelligence: R&D for Ambient Communication
Our Research and Development project, “Development of Data Processing and Artificial Intelligence for Lighting and Ambient Communication Technology,” was carried out from December 2023 to August 2025 and has been supported by CDTI (Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology, Spain) with European Funds.
This initiative explores how real-time data and AI-driven systems can shape environments that sense, respond, and communicate with people. By fusing light, media, and intelligent control, we are creating the next generation of adaptive, human-centric spaces where technology quietly enhances the way we live, work, and connect.
Project objectives:
- Development of an agnostic connection protocol to map any type of lighting to human behaviour in physical spaces.
- Development of a data processing layer capable of handling tens of thousands of simultaneous lighting data points.
- Development of an algorithm for the automatic generation of circadian lighting effects based on geolocation and solar position.
- Development of an AI layer based on neural networks for real-time detection and tracking of objects and people in specific spaces.
The project has delivered a modular, scalable platform validated in a real production environment, enabling reactive and intelligent spaces where lighting and visual content respond in real time to environmental data and human presence.

Skandal Technologies is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2023, the internationally recognized standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). This certification demonstrates our commitment to protecting customer data, maintaining secure operations, and continuously improving our information security practices. The certification covers the development, distribution, operation, and remote management of Poet Creator, as well as the management of user data, external data, and software licenses.
