There’s many, many examples of spiritual successors in Black Bolt and White Flare. For example, compare BLK Lilligant to EPO Lilligant. Virizion and Terrakion are almost identical to old prints as well.

G block rotates the same day POR becomes legal for official play. Even outside of Japan this card can’t use superior :(

Funnily enough, the mobile app “TCG Pocket” has filled in some of the gap here! The developers have been very thorough about releasing cards featuring the different forms of Furfrou, for instance.
