Advanced Polymerics, Inc. (API), founded in 2015, is a privately held, global innovation company that develops and commercializes smart coatings.
Among our first ground-breaking products was Allocorr® a chemically bonded phosphate ceramic coating that could repair itself. Through continuous innovation, we developed its successor, Permacorr®, a more user- and environmentally friendly anti-corrosion coating that features the same self-healing technology. Permacorr is manufactured and was developed under ISO 9001 quality management system standards.

Norbert Repman III
Chief Executive Officer
Norbert – a seasoned leader with over 30 years of experience in the paint coating industry – joined Advanced Polymerics, Inc., in 2017. He plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s strategic direction and spearheading its growth initiatives with a focus on pioneering smart coating technologies. Prior to joining API, Norbert worked as a director at several other industrial coating companies with the focus of delivering products to the oil/gas, chemical, LNG, power, water/wastewater, and steel fabricating industries. He also co-authored articles on Innovative Coating Systems for Steel Bridges and Protecting Wet FGD Units at Power Plants. Norbert is a licensed NACE CIP Level 2 Coating Inspector and member of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers and Society for Protective Coatings. He is an avid sports enthusiast, with a passion for both golf and football. Norbert’s commitment to excellence extends far beyond the boardroom, reflecting his relentless pursuit of excellence in every aspect of his life.
Kim Powers
Chief Operating Officer
Kim joined Advanced Polymerics, Inc. in 2015 as a dedicated team member and rose rapidly through the ranks, achieving the role of Vice President in 2018. Her role includes management of API’s day-to-day operations, personnel, and marketing and working as part of the executive team to drive the company’s success. Kim attended North Shore Community College, in Danvers, MA and then carved out a dynamic career path in a variety of industries. Her experience includes legal administration, office management, corporate leadership, and entrepreneurship. Prior to API, she founded both a successful flooring installation company and a fire alarm inspection and design firm. In both cases, her skills in developing partnerships played a pivotal role in driving business growth and innovation. Beyond the boardroom, Kim finds joy and fulfillment with home improvement projects, gardening, and sharing her life with a beloved 17-year-old dachshund.
Stephen Jewitt
President
Stephen joined of Advanced Polymerics Inc., in 2016 and was named President in 2017. Since graduating from Brunel University in London with a degree in Industrial Chemistry, Stephen has spent his entire 45-year career in the coatings industry. Stephen, along with a small team of chemists and technicians, developed Permacorr®, which was patented in 2021. Stephen continues to hone Permacorr’s performance, longevity, and ease of use. He can often be found tinkering in the laboratory, testing out new ideas and concepts. Stephen’s prior coatings industry experience includes working as a formulator, senior technology manager, global marketing manager, market development specialist, and a corrosion professional/consultant. He is currently in his second term as Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) Technical Program Committee member for the Eastern USA and liaison for the AMPP Education & Training Program Committee. Stephen is originally from the UK (Yorkshire) and lives on the North Shore of Massachusetts with his wife, two teen daughters, and Läckerli the golden doodle.
