Indomitable

The rugged watchers on the shore
Rest and wait; gazing out to sea
For aeons, standing patiently
Old protectors in days of yore
Realm defenders, fealty sworn.
The danger is long gone: long past
Yet still they stand, and at the last
Crumbling, rotting, fierce refusal
To accept fate; blindly rueful
Yet still they stand: unknown, unasked.

  4. Beautiful poem describing the rocks. Sometimes we have to be indomitable rocks in the face of life storms. I really enjoyed this.
