PCFriendly is a DVD-ROM software component developed by InterActual Technologies, Inc. and widely bundled with commercial DVD-Video titles from the late 1990s through the mid-2000s. When a compatible disc was inserted into a Windows PC, PCFriendly would auto-launch a branded interface that worked alongside the user’s existing DVD playback engine (such as WinDVD or PowerDVD). It presented disc-authored, interactive features like enhanced menus, scene selections, production notes, mini-games, web links, and other web-enabled extras.

Installed directly from the disc, PCFriendly functioned as a lightweight player shell that relied on Internet Explorer technologies and an existing MPEG-2/DVD decoder rather than providing its own. It was primarily aimed at Windows PCs; some releases also included Mac-compatible components. PCFriendly was later rebranded as InterActual Player and has since been discontinued. Although many legacy DVDs still contain the installer, it is generally unsupported on modern operating systems.

PCFriendly is developed by InterActual Technologies, Inc. and is used by 45 users of Software Informer. The most popular version of this product among our users is 2.1. The names of program executable files are pcfriend.exe, pcf.exe and syscheck.exe.
