pcaSlab is a structural engineering software application developed by the Portland Cement Association’s pcaStructurePoint group for the analysis and design of reinforced concrete slab systems and beams. It streamlines code-compliant design per ACI 318 (and optionally CSA A23.3), applying established methods such as the Direct Design Method and the Equivalent Frame Method for two-way systems. Engineers use pcaSlab to design flat plates, flat slabs, slabs with beams or drop panels, ribbed/joist (waffle) systems, and parking and building floor systems, while checking strength and serviceability requirements.
Key capabilities include:
Note: pcaSlab is a legacy PCA/pcaStructurePoint product and the predecessor to StructurePoint’s spSlab, which continues the platform with expanded capabilities.
pcaSlab is developed by Portland Cement Association - pcaStructurePoint. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 0.1, 0.2, 1.0 and 2.0. The names of program executable files are PCA-Slab.exe, pcaSlab.exe. Works with slb file type.
