PC CCID

PC CCID by Gemalto is a PC/SC‑compliant driver package that enables Gemalto (now part of Thales) USB smart card readers to work seamlessly on Windows. It installs a standards-based CCID driver and supporting components so applications and middleware—such as Windows Smart Card services, PKI clients, and identity management tools—can communicate with contact and contactless cards via Gemalto IDBridge and legacy PC‑series readers. The package provides automatic reader detection, hot‑plug support, power management, and broad compatibility with common use cases, including secure logon, two‑factor authentication, digital signatures, eID/eHealth, and banking. Designed for both IT administrators and end users, PC CCID offers digitally signed 32‑/64‑bit drivers and straightforward deployment on modern versions of Windows.
