Upon purchasing our Pro version of Password Protect WordPress (PPWP), you will receive an email from us (Password Protect WordPress – [email protected]), where you can find:

A URL to download the ZIP file of the PPWP Pro version by clicking “Password Protect WordPress Pro – 3-Site License Subscription” under the “Download” section.

A license that you have purchased (either 3-site, 10-site, or 15-site license).

An invoice for the purchase.
Once you have downloaded the PPWP Pro plugin, please follow the steps below to install it:
Step 1: From the WordPress Dashboard, navigate to Plugins > Add New
Step 2: Click Upload Plugin, which towards the top of the screen
Step 3: Depending on your web browser, click Browse, Upload or Choose File and then select the plugin ZIP file you have downloaded from our email.
Step 4: Click Install Now.
Step 5: Once installed, click Activate Plugin.
Free version
Please note that if you upgrade PPWP Pro from Free version, please deactivate it before you install this Pro version to avoid conflict in the future.
Since PPWP Pro version 1.1.0, users are required to install our Free version for our Pro plugin to work properly. This installation process will be done automatically for you. In case the automated installation fails, you can install our Free version manually as per this instruction.
- Navigate to Plugins > Add New
- Search for “WordPress Password Protect Page Plugin”
- Click the “Install Now” button
Please do NOT delete the Free version 1.1.2.2 and below when our Pro is activated. Otherwise, you’ll lose all your current settings data including your license key.
