Misunderstood Moments is an awareness program by Lens of Youth. It collects real-life stories of people with intellectual or developmental disabilities, each paired with original artwork by youth to help others understand, connect, and build compassion. Through public exhibitions and awareness events, participants experience these stories and artworks and are encouraged to make their commitment by signing the Pledge, fostering a community of kindness, inclusion, and understanding.

If you haven't had the opportunity to attend one of our previous ISD Online Virtual Open Houses, we are hosting two more on 3/24 (6:00 - 7:00 p.m.) and 4/23 (5:00 - 6:00 p.m.)!  Join us to find out more about ISD Online and how to apply!  Applications are open now through May 4.

During the event, we'll share more about our new virtual high school, which opens in the fall of 2026, including details about how our full-time school will offer flexibility, meaningful support from teachers and mentors, and a welcoming community that encourages students to learn, grow and find balance in their academic journey!  We will also go through the application process which is open now.

Those who attend will also have the chance to hear about our learning center; what our personalized, high-quality instruction will be like; how students can participate in extracurricular activities; and more. Students will have the chance to help us vote on a mascot for our new school, which will serve grades 9-12.

Register for the virtual open house using this form.

Students smile as they decorate cookies

PCMS held a food drive to benefit the Issaquah Food Bank.  Students collected and brought in items over the course of two weeks. We collected 1,304 pounds of food, toiletries, and other needed supplies. Each item on the list was given a point value. Advisory classes competed to see which class could bring in the most points per student.  Mrs. Kwok's class won and were rewarded with a cookie decorating party provided by PCMS PTSA.  Way to go, Lynx!

Principal Jeff McGowan

Meet Principal Jeff McGowan!

Hi, Lynx families! My favorite thing about being a principal is working with staff and students. A few fun facts about me: I love the “Harry Potter” books. My favorite musician is Bruce Springsteen. If I could only eat one food for the rest of my life, I would order from Ron’s Drive-In, a restaurant in the Spokane Valley.
