P2 Science begins focusing on developing new conversion technologies for renewable feedstocks, leading to the co-development of a new Process Intensified Ozonolysis (PIOz) conversion platform with Ballestra, S.p.A, allowing renewable oils to be converted into functional intermediates and specialty ingredients.P2 Science pilots the Ballestra reactor technology for the first time
Begins Development of a new polymerization technology that would later become PICE
P2 Science begins working with industry partners on the development of end market use for key products from PIOz and simultaneously is developing new approaches to assembling plant-based monomers into new classes of polymers.P2 Science completes its B Round of financing.
Led by BASF and Xeraya Capital, the first full-scale PIOz plant is successfully commissioned by P2 Science in Naugatuck, CT, starting its journey to become a first-of-kind plant capable of producing intermediates and ingredients for flavors, fragrances, pheromones, polymers, and more.PICE at scale
Led by The Heritage Group and Chanel, Cround financing is successfully completed. The breakthrough class of PICE-produced polymers exhibits best-in-class performance attributes that are valued by brands around the world.P2 launches products globally
