More than a
Soccer League

Future Forward is Open Field’s newest initiative for teenagers in the Pittsburgh region. The goal is to promote post-secondary education success through the world’s most popular sport: soccer. The Future Forward Soccer League combines soccer games with enrichment workshops to support student athletes on their path to success.

Saturday Soccer League

  • Friendly & Competitive Play: Join our league to fulfill your passion for soccer, level up your competition, and build life-long friendships. 
  • Enrichment Workshops: Every Saturday is more than a game day. It’s a chance for you to learn more about what opportunities exist after high school and make progress toward your goals.

Career Readiness

  • Relevant Skills: Learn how strategy, communication, and persistence utilized in soccer  translate into career-building skills. Create a resume; learn interview techniques; and understand the job search process.
  • Career Focus: Gain insights into the workforce and different career paths with guidance and mentorship from those who’ve navigated the field before you. Explore the different trades and what potential course of study you want to pursue.

Post-Secondary Education

  • Student Athlete Support: Take the necessary steps to join the soccer team at CCAC or explore what other opportunities exist to play at a higher level.
  • College Application Process: Gain a better understanding, and one-on-one support to complete your FAFSA, college application, essays, and scholarship research.

Year-Round Support

  • College and Trade School Visits: Broaden your horizons with tours to top colleges and trade schools, discovering pathways to shape your future beyond the pitch.
  • Team Building: Keep your skills sharp and expand the sense of community with team practices, meetings, friendly competitions throughout the year.
