About the NTDA

Founded in 1930, the NTDA (National Tyres Distributors Association) is a proactive trade association representing the tyre wholesale, distribution, retail, mobile fitting, repair, manufacturing, retreading and recycling sectors, along with the wider automotive aftercare market. Its mission is to champion members’ professional and commercial interests, promote responsible tyre safety, and raise the profile of the sector across industry and customer groups. The NTDA provides its members with a strong voice in the UK and EU, engaging with political decision makers and regulators to positively influence legislation, standards and the commercial environment.

What does the NTDA mean?

The distinctive kneeling man logo is a trusted symbol of quality, showing that a business operates to the highest professional standards. More than 300 companies, representing over 2,000 tyre retail outlets and automotive aftercare centres, proudly display it as members of the UK’s largest tyre trade association.

NTDA membership provides regular industry updates covering new legislation, regulations, technical guidance, policy changes and key sector data. Members also gain access to exclusive technical information, including a monthly bulletin and specialist seminars. The association represents members’ interests to government, ensuring their views are heard on tyre-related legislation and emerging issues. In addition, members benefit from preferential access to accredited training programmes and licensing schemes at highly competitive rates.
