Beyond Compliance: A New Safety Mindset

The NFSI is hosting our Third International Symposium on Slip, Trip and Fall Prevention at the Hurst Conference Center in Hurst, Texas, September 22 – 23, 2026.

Safety performance improves most when we move past simply following rules and begin shaping how people think, decide, and act. This year’s theme, “Beyond Compliance: A New Safety Mindset,” invites presentations that explore how organizations can evolve from obligation-driven safety to cultures where safe choices are natural, valued, and integrated into everyday work.

  • Call For Speakers

    Interested presenters must submit a proposal to speak for review by the Symposium Planning Committee. The committee is interested in abstracts that challenge traditional approaches, highlight innovative practices, and demonstrate measurable impact.  Please see the attached form for more information.

    • A track record of reliability and commitment to the NFSI mission

    The symposium location and hotels are about 15 minutes from the Dallas-Fort Worth International (DFW) airport, and about 35 minutes from Love Field.

    8:45 am – Opening Session
    6:00 pm – Conclusion for the day

    September 23, 2026

    7:30 am – Registration
    8:30 am – Sessions Begin
    2:00 pm – Symposium Ends
