Open Access Publisher Agreements: Home

The NDSU Libraries has several open access publisher agreements, also known as Transformative Agreements (TA) or Read & Publish Agreements (R&P), with various journal publishers that support publishing articles in an open access format. Agreements that are not R&P agreements are indicated.

<Click on the tabs to the left to read the terms of each agreement. New TAs will be added periodically.

Use the Journal Search Tool to search for a journal or topic across all agreements or click into the agreement tabs to find information on the journals included in each agreement.

Articles published Open Access are eligible for deposit in Bison Scholar, which can increase access, impact, and overall citation.

See below for a diagram of the traditional and transformative agreement models.

Comparing the traditional publishing model to the transformative agreement publishing model. Traditional Model: Libraries pay to access journal content AND authors pay to publish their research. Transformative Agreement Model: Libraries' subscription covers both reading journal content and publishing the institution's research.
