Archivist’s Code

Dr. Wayne Clayton Grover, nominated by President Harry S. Truman, served as the third Archivist of the United States from 1948 to 1965. One of his concerns about the responsibilities of archivists led him and the National Archives staff to write “The Archivist’s Code.”
