1. To foster collaboration among test prep providers in an effort to promote, support, and develop the professional activities of test preparation providers.
2. To share best practices, effective use of materials, and professional standards in the industry.
3. To advocate for the appropriate administration and use of standardized tests for admissions and assessment purposes.
Code of Ethics
All National Test Preparation Association (NTPA) members are required to pledge adherence to the principles described in our Code of Ethics when admitted to membership and annually with membership renewal.
Members are expected to:
• practice within the boundaries of their competence
• avoid conflicts of interest and disclose potential conflicts to clients
• maintain nondiscriminatory, confidential and professional relationships with clients
• accept payment only for work performed
• represent themselves honestly and refrain from making disparaging public remarks about other NTPA members
Board members

David Blobaum co-founded and leads Summit Prep, a tutoring company with two centers in New Jersey that specializes in preparing students for the SAT and ACT. He graduated from the University of Chicago with honors both from the college and in his major, and he received his Executive MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology. In college, he took seriously the University of Chicago’s aim of a “Renaissance” or well-rounded education and took courses in fourteen different disciplines, ranging from Statistics and Economics to Philosophy and Art History. Since then, he has devoted himself to helping students succeed through education and serves as the NTPA’s Director of Outreach to help highlight how academic standards can help students, schools, and society.

Kate Fisher is the founder of Kate Fisher Tutoring (KFT), a boutique education company based in New York City that serves families nationwide. She began tutoring in 2008 while studying English and American Literature as an undergraduate at New York University, and she now leads a team that supports students from early childhood through graduate school, including academic tutoring, executive function coaching, and standardized test preparation.
Kate has taught group classes and provided one-on-one tutoring, developed curriculum and teaching materials, trained and mentored educators, and partnered with schools to expand access to high quality instruction. She holds a Professional Certificate in Learning Differences and Neurodiversity with a Specialization in Executive Function through the Landmark College Institute for Research and Training, and she integrates executive function coaching into her work with students and into how she trains and supports educators.
Kate cares deeply about raising standards in the field through transparent practices, thoughtful training, and collaboration among independent educators. Outside of work, she is a New Yorker raising two young daughters and is happiest with a long walk, a great meal, and a full calendar.

Scott Greenspan, a Washington University in St. Louis graduate, spent a year teaching English and Math in Israel before returning to Chicago to become a high school math teacher and tennis coach. During his 21-year teaching career, he discovered a passion for ACT and SAT instruction, helping students reach their potential.
Since 2017, Scott has dedicated himself to Span Test Prep, his tutoring company with a staff of 10 in the north Chicago suburbs. They offer in-person and virtual tutoring for standardized tests and academic subjects. Active in the National Test Prep Association (NTPA) since its inception, Scott has served as a Mastermind leader, Ethics Chair, and now NTPA Board member.
An avid traveler and sportsman, Scott enjoys tennis, pickleball, and hiking. His favorite pastime is skiing, and he makes an annual trek to Steamboat Springs, CO.

Michael Jordan is the president and founder of Michael Jordan College Prep, providing one-on-one test preparation and college application support to students in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and beyond. Prior to starting MJ Prep, Michael earned a degree in Music Education from the University of North Texas and worked as a high school band director in North Texas.
Michael holds his Texas Teaching Certification and is an Associate Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association. Aside from his career in education, Michael is a food enthusiast; you’ll often find him in the kitchen creating a new recipe or tending a smoker.

Susan Powers is the Founder of Woodlands Test Prep, a company devoted to supporting students with test preparation, academic tutoring, and college essay coaching, based in The Woodlands, Texas, north of Houston. Susan started teaching SAT and GMAT classes for Kaplan as a fun hobby in 1994, laying the groundwork for the founding of Woodlands Test Prep in 2011.
A 1989 graduate of Southern Methodist University with degrees in French and Finance and a 1993 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with an MBA in Entrepreneurship, she began her career in strategic consulting and mergers & acquisitions. She is inspired every day by her team and the students they support.
Some of her other passions include traveling near and far, soaking in the mountain air, discovering emerging musical artists, and reading. So. Much. Reading.

Ben Sexton is the founder of Sexton Test Prep & Tutoring, a dynamic tutoring firm based in MetroWest Boston since its inception in the early 2000s.
A Dover resident, Ben graduated from Skidmore College in 2004 with a degree in Philosophy and has been working in the tutoring and test preparation industry ever since. He also holds a M.Ed. in Measurement, Evaluation, Statistics, and Assessment (MESA) from the Lynch School of Education at Boston College. With over 19 years of tutoring experience, Ben has spent a majority of his career focusing on test preparation. He has helped more than 1,000 students prepare for the SAT and wrote the full curriculum for Sexton’s SAT and ACT programs.
When not working, Ben enjoys Maine and Western MA, boxing, following sports (especially football and basketball), investing, and collectibles. He and his business partner, Sarah, co-parent their two sons, Wyatt and Drew.

Adam Snoza is the president of Aim High Test Prep, offering personalized and group test preparation. A former high school English teacher with a degree from Creighton University, he has dedicated his career to making test prep accessible. By partnering with non-profits and a Title I school, Adam has extended quality test prep to low-income students, helping them achieve their higher education goals.
Beyond his educational work, Adam is a passionate martial arts instructor with over 30 years of experience.

Jim Wismer is the Director of Ivy Experience, a Philadelphia area test prep, college prep, and tutoring company. Jim oversees Ivy Experience’s tutoring and test prep, in addition to heading sales, marketing, and business development.
Jim’s tutoring career started in 8th grade, and he has since taught students at the middle school, high school, and college levels in standardized test preparation as well as dead languages. He leveraged his own test scores to attend The University of Pittsburgh on an Honors Full Tuition Scholarship, graduating summa cum laude. He went on to earn his M.A. in Classics from Notre Dame, where he taught Latin, Ancient Greek, ancient history, and mythology. While applying for high school Latin teaching jobs, he stumbled into the world of full-time test prep and never looked back.
In his free time, Jim enjoys traveling the world, studying languages, camping, hiking, following the Eagles, throwing darts, reading fantasy novels, and much more.
