Global leaders and stakeholders from across the field of spinal cord injury convened at Praxis 2016, a landmark conference hosted by the Rick Hansen Institute, to develop practical solutions for overcoming challenges to translating research into improved outcomes for individuals living with SCI.
Over 200 global SCI stakeholders gathered at Praxis 2016 in Vancouver to develop practical solutions for translating research into improved outcomes.

The North American Spinal Cord Injury Consortium officially launched, bringing together organizations and individuals committed to improving research, care, cure, and policies impacting people living with spinal cord injury.
The American Spinal Research Organization became the home and fundraising arm of NASCIC. As a registered US 501(c)(3) charity (EIN 35-1981439), ASRO provides fundraising support for programming and advocacy efforts throughout North America.
To bring about unified achievements in research, care, cure, and policy by supporting collaborative efforts across the spinal cord injury community.
