Introduction to Spinal Manipulation (MT6)

Spinal Manipulation procedures are a foundation of manual therapy, extensively taught in the Ola Grimsby Institute’s (OGI) Orthopedic Residency program, Manual Therapy Fellowship program, and advanced Ph.D. in Manual Therapy. This course is available whether or not you are enrolled in one of these formal programs. If you have taken this course before, feel free to attend and refresh your skills.

The level 2 ICIR is aimed at providing health care and allied health care professionals working in rugby the ability to assess, stabilize and package a Rugby athlete for removal to a safe area so that they can wait for the arrival of advanced care provision. This is a 2-day re-certification course.

emergency response for the athlete

The Emergency Response for the Athlete (ERA) course is intended for physical therapists and other healthcare providers who seek specialized training in sideline and venue emergency management of the athlete. It is only offered as an in-person course.

Core skills include primary and secondary assessment, ethics and legal review, care of the athlete through the age spectrum, athletes in adaptive sports, dermatology, medical and traumatic emergencies, and EMS operations. Additional enrichment modules include asthma, anaphylaxis, pulse oximetry, and care of the spine-injured athlete.
