Party Time!

My second hosting week on comment_fic begins this Monday! :D

This time the themes will be AUs, Legacies (a new theme designed specifically for lots of superhero prompts), Hurt/Comfort, and Domestic Bliss (also a new theme, I believe).

3 Ships is live.

The two years I've participated in this exchange, I have gotten two of my favorite fics ever. Last year I got Adding Something Better to It, a wonderful Cass/Jason/Steph story which I loved so much, it inspired a series of mine.

This year, my mystery author gave me Confused-Ticky-Box Life. And in case you're wondering why I'm clapping like a seal at the moment, it's because not only did my writer write me Jessica Drew fic, they wrote me Kitty/Jessica/MJ fic! This is one of my ultimate Marvel OT3s, and the fic is hilarious and adorable and awesome and everyone should read it.

So, yeah, needless to say, doing 3 Ships again next year. XD

Okay. So, here's the state of the Rex.

1. Semester of HELL is finished! Awaiting last grades, but I think I'm good. This is such a relief I can't even tell you.

2. State of fic exchanges: JBBS - done. Yuletide - Done (fortunately!). DOOM - almost done, hopefully posted tonight or tomorrow. 3 Ships - due in a week, and fully plotted out. I feel like I'm okay here.

Second, I have decided not to claim any official pinch hits this year besides maybe one, because I have been seriously stressed out and don't need to spend any more time screaming at the clock to go slower. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut. That doesn't mean I'm not writing any extra fics. Any pinch hits that appeal to me will be saved in my inbox, and I'll work on something for them during Yuletide treats. No deadline besides the obvious one, no word limit, just me writing whatever comes to mind.

This Monday, my hosting week begins at comment_fic. I am very excited. :D

I am very fond of my themes (I know one of them has not been done at comment fic before, and I don't think another one has), so there's a very good chance that if you leave prompts with pairings or characters you know I like, you WILL get fic. So please play!

Okay, so 20 fics. Not enough to win, but I had fun, and I hope everyone enjoyed their fics! If I didn't get to your prompts this time, I'm still filing them away for my next binge, likely in December. It shall be a fine way to celebrate the end of this semester. :D

In other squee-worthy news, jbbs is open for business! This year, it seems to have been expanded to just about every teen hero in the DCU, which is AWESOME. I'm already signed up, and you should be to. Yes, you. <3

Now, homework. Which I really should have been doing instead of ficcing, but meh. ;)

No contest this weekend. For the third one in a row. :(

Oh, well. One of you got a fic from me already - and the others will get theirs en masse next weekend, or whenever the next contest is!

Still, though, I was all psyched up already. I guess I'll transfer that ficcish energy into other things. Finish off a fic-exchange fic (with the strangest pairing I've ever written!) and maybe post a meme. Stay tuned. :p

Tomorrow, I go on my first attempt at winning a comment_fic challenge. Will there be fic? Yes. Will I win? Dunno. Will I go slightly insane? Indubitably.

But anyway! Here's the point of this post!

After like four years on LJ, I've finally discovered that I can change my journal's theme!
