Documentation Centre Description - Fundació Mies van der Rohe

Documentation Centre

The aim of the Documentation Centre is to promote and encourage dissemination, knowledge and research in the field of modern and contemporary architecture. The Fundació Mies van der Rohe carries out this work through its archive, collection and library, which bring together, organise and preserve documentary, heritage and artistic materials generated by the activities organised by the Foundation or in which it takes part. These materials share a common thread: the 1929 Pavilion and its authors, Lilly Reich and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, its reconstruction, the activities carried out at the Pavilion and those organised by the Foundation, among which artistic interventions and the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Awards (EUmies Awards) stand out.

This is a documentary body generated by the different lives of the Pavilion and by contemporary European architecture.
